Heggs Leaves The Valley ....
Redditch Utd manager Gary Whild has begun the search for a new number two after coach
Carl Heggs left the club to become the new manager of Kings Lynn on Monday.
Heggs, who returned to The Valley for a second spell in October 2007 as player-coach, has
decided to take the plunge into management with The Linnets, who are preparing for life
in the Unibond League having been demoted from the Red's own Blue Square North at the
end of last season because their ground was deemed to be sub-standard.
The 38 year old fromer West Bromwich Albion, Swansea City and Nothampton Town striker
is entering his first managerial role by replacing Keith Webb, much to the delight of the Norfolk
side's Chairman, Ken Bobbins, who said, "He's (Heggs) got bags of non-league and league
football experience and he's got the kind of enthusiasm we need around the club. He'll make
the club feel good again and play good, attacking, honest football"
