Redditch United 1 vs 2 Stourbridge - (Birmingham Senior Cup Round 1)


A Ryan Rowe strike two minutes into injury time knocked Redditch out of the Birmingham Senior

Cup tonight (Tuesday)

There were three new names on the Redditch team sheet in Godwill Moraka, Myron Semper and

goalkeeper Simon Lynn.

Redditch opened the scoring on 17 minutes when James Dance played in Moraka whose shot was parried and Semper converted the rebound.

 

For the visitors, Sean Evans was brought down in the box on 20 minutes by Jamie Oliver but no penalty was given.

They did equalise on the half hour when Lee Williams sent a cross over from the right for Evans to convert at the far post.

The second half opened with Stourbridge pressure and Evans wen close on 54 minutes but his shot cannoned off the feet of Lynn.

Evans put in a cross which Lynn punched away to Ben Billingham who put his shot wide.

Damian Jarrat shot over the bar before Rowe's last gasp effort sent the visitors through.


Reds: Lynn, Bullimore, Green, Oliver, Francis, Ashton, Moraka, Clarke, Semper, Sheldon, Cooper.

Subs: Byrne (for Moraka), Bridgwater (for Bullimore), Not Used: Spittle, Hegarty, Dance
