In the last three games there has been a real mix bag in terms of performance and results. I thought in the Halesowen and AFC Totton games we showed a real desire and competitive spirit, to achieve two very good results only to be disappointed in the second half at Chippenham where we were beaten by a more physical and experienced team. Having performed well in the first half of at Chippenham,it was important we got the first goal but it wasn’t to be, our final ball in the attacking third needs to improve so we can give big James Travis every chance of scoring goals.
We are a very young team and everyone knows that with young players you don’t always get consistency, but certainly the effort and commitment has been there for all to see. We have come a long way in a short space of time. My counterpart at Chippenham, Adie Mings, has been in the job there for 5 yeasrs, and for a football club to be successful it needs stability and continuity on and off the pitch. Good football teams are built in months and years and not in weeks.
With what is now a very important period leading up to Christmas, I urge everyone to get behind our good young team and give them your total support.
