A low key league cup game played in front of just 81 spectators on a freezing cold night saw Redditch go out of their final cup competition of the season.
Boss Graham Hyde fielded a mixture of first teamers, youngsters and second choice players and it showed as Redditch could make little inroads against a stronger Banbury outfit.
Joel Grandison put a shot wide for Redditch on 11 minutes and a Dan Carter lob right on half time was just held by the visiting goalkeeper Andy Kemp under his own crossbar.
For Banbury, Ricky Johnson produced a shot which was saved well by Jake Bedford before Ryan Howell put them ahead with a jinking run and neat finish on 29 minutes.
Johnson fired wide on 50 minutes and Bedford produced another good save to tip a shot by Ben Polk over the bar on 50 minutesbefore Johnson wrapped it up on 75 minutes after a neat move.
