New Blood Signs To Bolster Reds ....

With the recent departure of James Dance to Blue Square Premier League outfit, Kettering Town, after impressing them with his comitted and battling performances agaianst them in both F.A. Cup ties, Gary Whild and Micky Moore have been actively searching the non-league circuit looking for replacement players to help bolster the squad and help get the Reds away from the foot of the Blue Square North table.

Today we are pleased to announce the signings of 3 new players with another 2 immininent. The 3 players signed and straight into the squad for tonights crucial match away at local rivals, Solihull Moors, are;

Dan Carter - an 18 year old, prolific striker who is yet another product of the Redditch Utd F.C. Youth system. For the last couple of seasons, Dan has been playing for the Youth team in the prestigious Midland Junior Premier League and this season has scored 4 goals in just 6 games which alerted Gary Whild to take a look at him and he handed him his debut in the recent Worcester County Cup match away at Worcester City in which he certainly did his reputation no harm at all. After the match Gary commented of his performance' the lad has a great attitude and a terrific work rate and for those reasons alone he deserves another chance with the squad'

Jozsef Jakab - an experienced striker who moved to England from his native Hungary in 2007. Initially he signed and played many games for Solihull Moors before moving onto Stratford Town where he became a firm fans favourite scoring many goals for the Aspire Midland Alliance outfit before deciding to join the Reds. Jozsef made his debut as a 2nd half substitute in Saturday's 1 vs 0 win over Leigh Genesis in the F.A. Trophy 3rd Qualifying round. Gary said of Jozsef, 'the lad has pace and strength and is experienced at all levels of the game, he knows where the goal is having scored some 40 goals for Stratford Town and he will be a welcome addition to the squad in terms of attacking options'

Matt Blair - a 19 year old right sided winger who can also scores goals. Matt joins from Zamaretto League Division 1 side, Bedworth Utd after recent impressive performances for them, none more so than in last months F.A. Cup tie away at Blue Square Premier League York City where he gave their experienced defenders a torrid time, Matt has also played at Stratford Town with Reds Assistant Manager, Micky Moore and before James Dance signed for the Reds earlier this season Matt was a player who Gary and Micky were keeping an eye on and with the recent departure of James Dance, Gary moved quickly to snap up the young lads services and said of him' Matt is one we have looked at before we signed James Dance and he has similar strengths, he has fantastic pace and has a lot of the same attributes as Dancer had and if he can do half as well as James then he will be a welcome addition to the squad'

All 3 of the new signings should be in the squad for tonights crucial away match at Solihull Moors kick off 7.45pm and should feature at some stage in the match.
