The Valley Stadium boss has now agreed deals with 23 players and the club can confirm they have all put pen to paper in readiness for the new Evo-Stik League (Southern) Premier Division season which kicks off with a trip to Oxford City on August 13.

There are five strikers in his initial squad – former Coventry City youngster David Blenkinsopp, teenager Joe Harris, Lee Osborne, former Reds front man Luke Keen and Aaron Moses-Garvey, who was another player with the Reds last term.

In midfield he has brought in Lei Brown, Phil Green, Simon Fitter, Mark Hands, Ryan Howell and his former Daventry teammate Josh O’Grady, Joe Adams from Studley Utd and Cameron Jones from Tipton Town along with local lad Robbie Ager who rejoins from Pershore Town.

Defenders Craig Milligan, Greg Ellard, Dan Miley, Nick Heath, Alex Hickman, Brad Bullimore and Adam Wood have also signed up – Hickman, Bullimore and Wood returning to the club where they finished last season.

As for goalkeepers, promising youngster Jake Bedford has re-signed for the club following some fine performances in the latter part of last season and the former Walsall and Kidderminster Harriers stopper, Dean Coleman, completes the current line-up.
