Reds Old Boy Returns ....

Reds old boy Danny Scheppel has rejoined the club from Bromsgrove Rovers. Danny was an

integral part of the successful double winning team that finished as Champions of the Dr. Martens

Western Division then won the play offs to earn promotion to the newly formed Conference North

League in 2004. Danny remained with the club for the next two seasons before leaving The Valley

in 2006 after many years service, moving on to Evesham Utd before he moved to Bromsgrove

Rovers in 2008.

Reds boss Gary Whild said of Danny's return earlier this week, 'Danny has always been a good

servant to Redditch Utd and he knows what we are about as a football club. Saturday, at Telford,

was his first game at this standard for a while and I thought he had a steady game for us on his

return in difficult circumstances and he proved that he is still more than capable of playing at this

level. Danny is a naturally fit lad and can play in a number of positions which will prove invaluable

to us between now and the end of season and we are delighted to have him back'

Danny should make his home debut this Saturday against Solihull Moors.
