Two New Faces In At The Valley ....

JORDAN STREET

Gary Whild has reacted rapidly to his leaking defence by bringing in Yeovil Town teenager

Jordan Street.

The 19-year-old has been added to the Reds` squad as Whild attempts to plug the defensive

gaps which have resulted in seven goals being conceded in two games.

Whild said: “We’ve been giving away ridiculously silly goals and that simply can’t continue.

“Consequently, we shall have to start juggling things around because we’re not in a position

to go and change the defence.

“It’s simply a case that our current defenders will have to learn and learn quickly because we

can’t continue making the mistakes we’re making and hoping to get away with it at Conference level.”

That hasn’t prevented Whild from adding Redditch-based Street to his squad following his release from Huish Park.

Whild added: “Jordan did pre-season with Kidderminster Harriers but wasn’t offered a deal. But he could prove invaluable to us because he can play anywhere across the back four.”

JAMES DANCE

Blue Square North club Redditch United have signed midfielder James Dance from

UniBond League Division One South side Rushall Olympic.

Dance is an exceptional and much sought after talent who arrived at Rushall during

summer of 2009 after ending the previous campaign with Aspire Midland Alliance outfit

Coleshill Town.

He began his career as a youngster with Birmingham City before moving on to

Cheltenham Town and featured for the Robins` under-18's side during season 2004/05.

He eventually moved into the non-League game with Coleshill, where he was to become

skipper of the side for the majority of the club's Midland Alliance debut campaign during

season 2008/09 and was also a key member of the squad who won the 2007-08

Midland Combination Premier Division championship.
